About

Being human is weird.

Interesting. Messy. Beautiful.

We spend a lot of time trying to figure ourselves out. The Noticing Institute takes a slightly different approach.

Instead of immediately trying to fix, change, improve, or explain everything, we notice. We get curious. We ask better questions. We explore what psychology, neuroscience, contemplative traditions, philosophy, metaphysics, and our own experience might have to say.

And sometimes, we have an Aha.

Alignment is still one of the central ideas here. It isn’t about becoming perfect. It’s about noticing what is actually happening inside you, understanding it, and deciding what you want to do next.

How we keep ourselves honest

What we know

Things that can be observed, tested, or measured.

What we think

Our reading of it. Useful, and still a reading.

What people have proposed

Ideas offered across philosophy and metaphysics.

What you experience

The part only you have access to.

We can say “maybe” without saying “definitely.”

Notice → Recognize → Understand → Choose → Recalibrate

You can start anywhere. Everything here connects to everything else.

What are you curious about?
